KnowLay is a skills development platform, built out in phases around three layers: training videos (content based on expert knowledge, voiced by AI), human coaching (real experts guiding you when needed), and AI coaching (accompanying you 24/7). We roll out features step by step to keep improving the experience. The name comes from our philosophy "Lay Knowledge Into Action," meaning turning knowledge into action.
How is KnowLay different from other online learning platforms?

Many platforms mainly sell pre-recorded videos and leave you to study on your own. KnowLay is designed to go further: alongside training videos, you get human coaching from real experts to handle your own situations, and AI coaching to help you apply and sustain your learning habits. These layers are rolled out in phases, all aimed at helping you not just "know it" but "do it."
What is a Career Path on KnowLay?

Instead of studying isolated, standalone courses, you can follow a Career Path designed around your professional goal, arranging courses in a logical sequence from foundational to advanced. You always know where you are, what to learn next, and which role you are working toward.
What are the benefits of following a Career Path versus taking single courses?

You save time choosing, avoid uneven learning or missing foundational knowledge, and stay motivated by a clear destination. Experts support you at key turning points in your career, and the AI coaching layer, added along the platform's development roadmap, reminds you and tracks your progress.
What does an expert need to do to have a course on KnowLay?

An expert simply provides their knowledge through the materials they already have. KnowLay produces the course content from those materials and sends it back to the expert for review before release. Experts focus on what matters most, their expertise, while we handle production.
Why does KnowLay use AI voicing instead of having experts record or film themselves?

Because an expert's biggest bottleneck is not knowledge, but the time and effort of production. When the expert only needs to provide materials and review them, while we and AI handle video assembly and voicing, courses come to life many times faster, with the professional quality still vouched for by the expert.
Is the content really based on expert knowledge, or is it AI generated?

The content is built from the very materials the expert provides, and the expert reviews all of it before release. AI only assists with drafting and converting text into voice. You learn the expert's knowledge, simply delivered through an AI voice.
Is learning from an AI voice less effective than a real human voice, and does it sound natural?

What determines learning effectiveness is the quality of the content, the structure of the lesson, and how much you apply it, not the source of the voice. We use high-quality voice technology with natural intonation, steady pacing, and clear pronunciation, often easier to listen to than many self-recorded sessions, since not every expert is skilled at speaking on camera.
What are the concrete benefits of learning from AI-voiced videos?

Content updates quickly when knowledge changes (just edit the text, no re-filming); audio quality is consistent across lessons; it is easy to standardize across multiple languages; and lower production costs mean more reasonable tuition for you.

When content needs updating, do I have to watch videos that were patched together from re-shoots?

No. Because videos are generated from text, we only fix the specific section that needs updating and the system regenerates that part. You always learn the latest version, with no patchwork.
So where do humans fit in KnowLay?

In the most important places: experts provide knowledge and review content, design Career Paths, coach you directly when needed, and our team handles production and quality control. AI is only a tool for support and delivery, not a replacement for human expertise.
Can the AI voice misstate meaning or cause misunderstanding?

Content is reviewed by the expert before release, so the meaning is tightly controlled. If you spot any pronunciation or phrasing that is off, you can report it and we will fix it quickly.
How does expert coaching work?

When you need advice on a real situation or want in-depth feedback, you can book a session with an expert for direct guidance, something AI cannot fully replace yet.
What can AI coaching do?

KnowLay develops features in phases, and AI coaching is part of that roadmap, expanding gradually to enhance the learning experience. This layer's capabilities include: accompanying you after you watch a video, reminding you of your study schedule, asking review questions, suggesting practice exercises, tracking your progress along your Career Path, and answering questions 24/7. You can follow our announcements to see what is available at any given time.
When should I use human coaching versus AI coaching?

Use human coaching for complex, personal situations or when you need in-depth assessment. Use AI coaching for immediate, repetitive needs and for sustaining habits. The two layers complement each other and are introduced across the platform's development phases.
I am an expert. Is putting a course on KnowLay complicated?

No. You only need to provide the materials containing your knowledge. We produce the course and send it back to you for review before release. You do not have to worry about filming or recording.
How do I earn money from my course?

You receive a revenue share from learners who enroll in your courses or in Career Paths containing your content, and you can earn additional income from direct coaching sessions. (The specific revenue share follows the current policy.)
Do I keep control over my content and course updates?

Yes. All content passes through your review before release, and when an update is needed, we edit the text and regenerate the corresponding video for you to approve, keeping the course current without any re-filming.
